I've had bigger bikes, heavier bikes, faster bikes, more stable bikes, prettier bikes, rougher bikes, slower bikes, etc ad nauseum. My Savage looks good as an old school chopper (down to 270 pounds wet weight, no crotch rocket can touch her stoplight to stoplight), has done a Highway Patrol radar gun clocked 115 MPH on a 2 mile drag strip (WW2 Navy runway) on alcohol based racing fuel, has survived hitting a tree at speed (locked rear brake on wet lawn, oops), has done several decent length road trips (200 mile round trip, two up, first weekend I had her), has been a forum test mule for 5 years and change, and is still going strong. With my current state of health, and gloomy post surgical outlook, this is all the bike I need, want, or choose to own. By the by, I'm 6'2", 235 lbs (and holding, thank you), permanently disabled (shoulders, legs, lower back), and quite happy with my "peculiar", "butchered (my wife's term)", "little toy" motorcycle. It just flat out outworks, outhandles, and outlasts any of my previous bikes.
